An unexpected solicitor's call telling of the death of his estranged mother and a legacy of more than £250,000, leads London cabby, Frank Barnes, in search of information relating to his mother's life and particularly her death. He knows only that his mother was once a high class London prostitute and is desperate to learn more. But Frank is ill-prepared for a search that leads him into his mother's old world of violence and death, where nothing is as it seems and where even his mother's death is in question.
